Get to Know Dr. Mary Chivetta

Mary Chivetta, O.D., was inspired to help people see better after receiving her first pair of eyeglasses in grade school — she describes seeing the trees for the first time with glasses as “lifechanging!” She believes strongly in providing exceptional, patient-focused care, while getting to know her patients and their vision needs on a personal level.

After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Chivetta finished her residency at the St. Louis VA Medical Center, focusing on primary care and geriatric optometry. When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Chivetta enjoys running, hiking with her black lab Quincy, playing tennis, and photography. She also serves the homeless at various health care clinics and attends international service trips to provide eye care for those in need.
